About the Network
The Newton Tech4Dev Network gathers a global consortium of scholars that aims to advance research on digital technologies in low- and middle-income countries.
It supports new research projects in the areas of disaster management and digital media, community media in crisis contexts, and digital labor in the global South. We host a series of innovation workshops, researcher exchange programs, and intersectoral dialogues between academia and government and humanitarian policymakers.
The Newton Tech4Dev Network is funded by the British Council Newton Fund. An Institutional Links grant formalizes a partnership between the University of Leicester, UK and De La Salle University, Philippines in coordinating network initiatives.
