Clarissa David

Clarissa David is a Professor in the College of Mass Communication at the University of the Philippines (PhD, Annenberg School for Communication, University of Pennsylvania). She conducts research in public opinion, political communication, public interventions, and communicating policy. In addition to academic research she conducts policy-oriented research and communication strategy consulting in the areas of public education, health, and governance in the Philippines. Her work has been published in some of the leading journals in communication, and her recent book The RH Wars: Framing the Population and Health Debate received the Philippine National Academy of Science and Technology’s (NAST) Outstanding Book Publication. In 2015 Clarissa was named one of the country’s Outstanding Young Scientists by the NAST and an E. Angara Fellow for Policy Research by the University of the Philippines.
